The number one reason to join the Novato Community Alliance is that it will benefit you. There are many more NCA advantages. You can:

• Get Connected. There’s no better way to know what’s happening in your community on the most important issues.
• Discover Great Resources. The NCA offers a variety of information designed for all householders.
• Tap into a Network. NCA functions are opportunities to meet your neighbors and other area residents, building rapport and discussing issues that are on your mind. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences.
• Speak Up. NCA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change in our community.
• Be a Role Model. By becoming a NCA member, you’ll be demonstrating the importance you place on local issues and cohesive neighborhoods. 

Membership is the fuel that powers the Novato Community Alliance. Interested parties support this unique nonprofit cause through membership, and we invite you to do the same.

Our email list is secure. Only Alliance leadership can access this list. If you want to become a member, please fill out the brief information gadget below and we'll add you to our membership. 

Membership Process:

To become a member, study the advantages and benefits on this page, then follow the on-line steps below:

1. Click on the blue button at right or at bottom
2. Fill out the membership form. You can also print this page out, fill it out and bring it with your payment to a membership meeting if your desire.
3. The form will then be routed to our membership administrator.
4. You may be contacted for verification of information, or you can discuss the membership benefits and ask any questions you have.
5. We accept payments via check (sent to the NCA PO Box below), or Credit Card (using PayPal) (future)
6. We will then send you a confirmation email, that will contain your User Name and Initial Password, and Getting Started Instructions.
7. You will then access our site at http://nca4bh.org, login, and we then recommend that you reset your password per the Getting Started Instructions. 

Membership Restrictions:

Novato Community Alliance has only a single restriction to becoming a member.

As a neighborhood organization, our memberships are extended toindividuals whom currently reside or own a home within the Novato Unified School District boundaries, which includes the non-incorporated areas of Novato (e.g. Indian Valley area). Those that live outside of the defined boundary are able to join, but only as an associate member. Associate Members cannot vote on NCA mattters.

Additional Note: When you are in a household, a single payment gets your a single membership (1-vote, 1 user name and password). Typically that is all that is necessary. But if you wish to have seperate memberships, then that is allowed, but you will have to submit twice, with different information for each. This will get you two memberships (2-votes, 2 user names and passwords).

Membership Categories

Dues are based on a calendar year (Jan 1 - Dec 31). For members who apply for membership after Jul-1, the dues amount is reduced to a pro-rated amount of $10.00.

(NCA wants full participation by the neighborhood, so any potential member who feels that the annual dues is a financial hardship, can also petition via email to NCA for a waiver.)

Additional Donations:

Additional donations are always welcome. These donations would be above and beyond the Basic Membership shown above.

All membership dues pay for the operating expenses of NCA. Examples of operating expenses, include Liability Insurance, State Fees for Incorporation, Web Site Hosting, Postage, Office Supplies, etc. All directors and officers are volunteer and no salaries are paid.
